From 19th till 28th January 2018 the International Green Week takes place in the capitol of Germany.
More than 1.600 exhibitors with over more than 100.000 products from Germany and all over the world. For the currently about 200.000 visitors there are different thematic areas to discover, like wood, adventure farm, bio, renewable ressources, federal states, market hall and much more.
New this year – 1st Startup-Day
On 24th January 20 young businessman faced a jury with representatives of trade, experts from the food industry and startup-support.
These include Dr. Christian Bock, “Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank” ; Karina Bostelmann, FOOD & FARM; Gabriele Giesler, editor Men´s Health/Women´s Health; Hendrik Haase, Blogger & FoodActivist; Markus Reh, Edeka-Minden; Stefan Sabet, CEO National Association of the German food industry.
And the winner are….
The first price went to nearbee (https://nearbees.de/) ,which means “honey from next door“. Nearbee is a sales portal from Munich for regional honey producers from Germany.
The second price went to bickus (https://www.bickus.de/) from Northern Hesse. Their main concern is that the meat from laying hens is not abandoned to the industry as usually, but will be processed to high-class food.
The Hiddenseer Kutterfisch (https://www.hiddenseer-kutterfisch.de/) accomplished to be on 3rd place. Their concern is the production of fish tins on the island of Rügen. However they are not only concerned about the support of regional products, but they also support the gillnet fishery in front of the island with their activities.

The 84. International Green Week takes place from 18th till 27th January 2019.
